WARM Project
There is an urgent need in North Carolina for heat sources. The last two nights, temperatures dropped to the lower 30s with a light frost.
We have been working with a network of local churches to identify roughly 1,000 members Mitchell, Avery, and Yancey County, who will be without heat this winter due to Hurricane Helene. Our goal is to provide heating solutions for the most vulnerable households, using generators, infrared heaters, and propane tanks. We’ll be working closely with the local church community to find the recipients and deliver the heaters. This is the essence of the “WARM Project”.
Any funds donated will be used to purchase the heating equipment. Next, we will store the equipment and fulfill orders sent to us by the local churches, so that they can bless their communities for the winter.
$325.00 will provide one home with a steady heat source for this winter. Our goal is to raise $325,000 and provide heating equipment for 1000 households. We’re inviting you to join us in making a difference for these communities.
Checks can be made out to Plain Compassion Crisis Response and mailed to PO Box 356, Honey Brook, PA 19344. Please make sure to write “WARM Project” on the memo line to specify where you would like your contribution to go to.
